My Name Is Devlyin Jones. Im 22 Soon to have a birthday and this is my dream. Having a hobbit hole! I just convinced my Wife that instead of working towards getting a real nice large home in the suburbs that we should work on buying land and building our own home in a nice secluded area and to make her happy its not gonna be to far away from a city that we can not visit regularly and it wont be so classic as not to have power, plumbing and internet.
So at this current moment in time the only money we have in the bank is exactly $5.19 So this will be an account from literally NO Money to start with, NO home of our own (we currently live at her parents atm but soon we will have enough money to move out), We both Finally got a job and we have no kids (thats a task for another time), and We currently live in Oxford, AL.
The point of this blog is to first and for most be a log of the different task i will need to/will ensue and figure out as i come across information that will help me and my wife find our dream home while both living off the grid and finding our place in the world.
Most of the things i will post will include:
1.How to guides on everything: from building the Hobbit Hole (walls ,plumbing, design ,ect.)
2.Cool little tidbits of information and things to do (side projects)
3.Personal Updates (Just What Ever Important Is Going On)
Im not the Biggest fan of The Lord of The Rings
But i do like it, and the Hobbit Hole is just one of the things that from watching when i was younger that stuck with me I've read the books, I've watched the movies and other then liking a good story thats about as far as it goes into being a "geek" in the subject.
